Important - Please take notice!
The Sawtooth Snowmobile Club is in the process of completing a grant proposal for matching funds to purchase a used truck equipped with a roll-off bed in order to transport the new trail groomer.
The existing truck and trailer system is very old, undersized for the new groomer, and unsafe.
The Club’s matching funds would include monies held in the Club’s own groomer account as well as funds in the Club’s groomer account administered by Blaine County.
The Sawtooth Snowmobile Club has requested the County’s authorization to move forward with the grant process, and a meeting is scheduled with the Blaine County Commissioners on Tuesday, January 24 at 12:00 p.m..
If have any questions what-so-ever, please contact any of the Sawtooth Club Officers by phone or email at the addresses provided on our web site.
Thank you.

Sawtooth Snowmobile Club
January 11 2012
Our meeting was a short one, Renee Catherine with the Ketchum Ranger District came to update us on the outfitting guides that are trying to get a permit to guide skiing on the backside of Baldy. If the permit is issued it could potentially compromise the use of this area to the snowmobilers. As we all know in the past when these permits are granted the areas eventually become closed to snowmobilers. The issue is still being discussed we will keep you updated.
As a reminder: The function of the Sawtooth snowmobile club is to fight to keep our recreation areas open and maintain the trails. When you register your sleds the registration fees go to help groom the trails and clear out parking areas, so if you have any friends that ride here from other areas please encourage them to register in Blaine County as the funds will be used in this county. The registrations have fallen to about half of 2010, we need these funds to continue making the areas accessible to all.
We are having a fun ride this Saturday January 21, we will meet at Baker Creek parking lot at 11:00 a.m. Bring the family out for a fun day. We will have free hamburgers for paid members and $5.00 for all non-members or non-paid members.
We have a nice selection of Sawtooth Snowmobile Club Swag for sale. We have sweatshirts and tee shirts and will eventually be getting beanies. If you have special ordered item or would like to place a special order, please come to the next meeting or call Jami 471-0273 or Bryan 720-4489 and we will get them to you.
As the snow starts we will be giving weekly updates on which trails have been groomed.
You can also log on to our Facebook for the updated groomed trails.
Our next meeting is February 8th at 7:00 p.m. at Woodside Motor Sports
The meeting is always the second Wednesday of each month. Very rarely does this change, If it does we will send out reminders.
